Effective communication is an integral part of customer relations. This course covers the principles of both formal and informal communication in the context of builing customer relationships.
High school graduation or equivalent; or 18 years of age. A written essay from the student explaining the reasons for interest in the program and how the program can assist the student to meet future goals.
The minimum level of English language proficiency is one of the following:
● English 12- minimum final grade “C” or Cornerstone Placement test – Level 5. (This placement test uses the Placement Evaluation Package Interchange 3 Third Edition and passages second edition from Cambridge.)
Upon completion of this course the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:
1. Understand and analyze various business communication modalities.
2. Adapt a message to the target audience.
3. Build goodwill relationships and a positive emphasis in client interactions.
4. Write effectively and demonstrate the ability to revise, edit and proofread.
5. Maximize the potential of non-verbal communication, especially in cross-cultural interactions.
6. Identify the various roles in a team and the leadership approaches needed to a achieve targeted results.
