Description
This course will provide students with Excel capabilities and data modeling techniques essential for robust business data analysis.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this program the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:
- Master common Excel functions and data modeling techniques for comprehensive business data analysis.
- Utilize Excel for creating sophisticated reports and dashboards, enhancing data presentation and interpretation.
- Adopt best practices in data organization and management using Excel, streamlining data analysis workflows.
- Demonstrate the application of Excel in financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Admission Requirements
High school graduation or equivalent; or be 19 when the program starts.
The minimum level of English language proficiency is one of the following:
- English 12 – minimum final grade “C”
- English Literature 12 – minimum grade “C”
- Communications 12 – minimum final grade “B”
- English 12 First Peoples – minimum final grade “C”
- Technical and Professional Communications 12 – minimum Grade “C”
- AP English Language or Literature – minimum grade 3
- IB English Language A (SL) – minimum grade 3
- TOEFL iBT – 79+
- CELPIP/ CLB 8
- DUOLINGO – 115+
- PTE Academic 56+
- CAEL 60
- IELTS – 6.5
- Cornerstone ESL Level 6.0 (ESL Languages Canada accredited institution AND pathway/articulation from Camosun College)
- Achieving academic excellence in one of Cornerstone Diploma Programs, measured by academic transcript with minimum of 70% overall.
Completion Requirements
A minimum grade of 70% on the final, a minimum attendance of 80%, and an overall grade of 70% are required to pass the course successfully.
